Nature Based Activities at Villa Lydia Koh Yao Noi

Surrender to bliss in the heart of nature.

Bird Watching

Bird-watching is a popular pastime. Villa Lydia is a refuge for uncommon hornbills, and multiple species of birds. They may be seen floating down to the beach in elegance as their population has peacefully expanded over time.

Just observe, listen to the forest sounds & get amazed by these creatures!

Mangrove Walkway

A remarkable walkway through the jungle-like mangrove  forest was formed to stroll through the home of the mudskippers, hermit crabs, as well as the giant monitor lizard - a fantastic way to see otherwise concealed animal and plant life so crucial to this region.

Rubber Tree plantation

Enjoy half a day stroll around the fascinating rubber trees in beautiful forest landscape.

Locals cultivate the trees by hand cutting and collecting the rubber in coconut shells tied to the trunks. Your experienced guide takes you to see how the rubber is collected, rolled into sheets then left to naturally dry along bamboo poles.

Fish & Lobster farm trip

Visit a local floating fish farm with an authentic longtail boat. It is one of the most interesting places on the island where Bang Need farms lobsters and raises marine life for an unforgettable close-up encounter.

Choose your own fresh catch to cook back at the Villa, either from our chef preparing delicious dinner just for you or from a barbecue dinner under the stars.

Island clean up

Koh Yao Noi, a place to call Home, is a wonderful area to preserve & protect. Our hosts are closely linked with the local community and work hard to save its charm for future generations to come.
